Our software escrow gives you an easy, inexpensive solution that will take away any inherent business-critical software risk.
Quite simply, if your software is no longer available, then we can give you access to the all-important source code so that you can get it back up and running. And resume the service to your clients.
This applies whether your vendor/supplier is no longer available, whether they simply decide to discontinue support, or whether you decide they’ve failed to maintain the application as defined by your service level agreement or maintenance contract.
TES, yourselves and the vendor will pre-define a set of trigger events. Should one of these occur, we will release a copy of the source code to you as the licensee. As indicated, examples of trigger events could be failure to maintain, vendor liquidation or change of ownership of the IPR. Our verification testing experts can even validate the integrity of the source code.
It’s very simple to set up the agreement. What’s more, everything is based on a predefined industry standard legal agreement, written in plain English.
In practice, it’s the only realistic way to mitigate your risk.
